As promised, Mariah Carey premiered her new video “#Beautiful” on American Idol tonight. The Miguel-assisted single has a refreshing vibe, and it’s nice to see that the video reflects that.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of “I Need Your Love.” The Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding collaboration is insanely catchy and the song’s pulsating beats always gets me.
With lots of fab pretty boys in it and outfits that would make you gag, Ware is clearly going for the gay demo with this one. If she wants to enter the North American market, it may not be a bad idea….
Chris Brown cleans up for his new video “Fine China.”
“In this video, you’ll see me taking care of the girl, doing gentlemanly things—showing another side of me. I know my female audience sees it. But the naysayers might say, ‘No, that’s not him,’” the singer told Billboard recently. His new gentlemanly attitude matched his retro and debonair style in the video.
Really loving Fall Out Boy’s “The Phoenix.” The video is pretty good, too.
Some info from the band’s website:
Welcome to the Prequel! Here’s the video for “the phoenix” - it tells the tale of how we ended up blindfolded in the back of the black van in the mskwyditd video. This is chapter 2 of 11. Stay tuned for chapter 3, coming to a computer, tablet, or phone near you soon.
When Jessica Sanchez promised a “dancey” album, she wasn’t kidding. “Tonight,” which features Ne-Yo, is a pop-dance track that you’d probably jam to when you’re in the club and already a little tipsy.
