“I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz is still the most beautiful song released so far this year. Its simplicity helps make the song a powerful anthem for many lovers and hopeless romantics. The song’s gospel influences help elevate the guitar ballad, making it a top contender for the AC charts.
The video for the song is equally as beautiful. It shows a number of different “real” people in different scenes that aren’t necessarily connected to each other.
Truth be told, this video probably could have been better, but I couldn’t help but like it. Although it doesn’t tell a single story, the video manages to communicate the same message that the song is getting at. Instead of giving us an elaborate plot that features good looking people, the video captures the humanity of the song, and in this case, it works.
