Locally-grown talent: Morgan Cameron Ross
Below, check out Morgan Cameron Ross’s video for “Let It Go”, a track lifted from his solo self-titled album debut. The video recently cracked MuchMoreMusic’s top 10.
Ross, as you might already know, is a singer-songwriter originally from Vancouver. “Let It Go” is kind of an earworm, but I like his “rootsy” sound better. If you go to his website, you’ll hear “My Brother Went To Prison”, a folksy/singer-songwriter-y song that even better highlights Ross’s talents. His raspy voice works better with simpler production, I think.
I also dig the acoustic version of “Every Mile and Passing Year”.
