I loved Nelly Furtado’s “Big Hoops”, but apparently the general population didn’t feel the same way, so the Canadian pop diva is moving on.
“The Spirit Indestructible” is more pop than its predecessor, but it is still a departure from much of what’s littering the charts right now. It’s a bold track about self-empowerment, mixing more organic sounds (including her voice) with slick production elements.
I really doubt it will be a hit though — if the insanely catchy (but super Urban) “Big Hoops” couldn’t do it, this less dance-y track wouldn’t either. Here’s hoping I’m wrong.
